How to refund items in Fortnite

In order to refund items in Fortnite you must access the Self-Service Cosmetic Refund tool:

  • Open the main Menu on the top right.

Fortnite Menu Settings
  • Click Settings and select the Account icon on the top right.

On this page, under Content, you can find a short Lifetime Refund Requests policy. Beside what we know already, it also states that occasionally some items are returnable without a Return Request.

For example, a few months ago Epic Games reworked Plastic Patroller, an uncommon outfit from the Toy Soldier set, and thus they gave each player a refund token that worked exclusively for this skin.

Fortnite Account Submit a Refund Request
  • Click Submit a Request.

  • Select the item you wish to refund.

Fortnite Return Request Item Selection
  • Select the reason you want to return the item. You can indicate that it was an Accidental Purchase, an Unauthorized Purchase on your account, or finally that the Item is Not As Expected.

Fortnite Return Request Reason
  • Review your selection on the bottom right, and click Submit Return Request to receive your V-bucks back. The V-bucks will be added to your account instantly.
