More Lethal Company guides:
I - Initial contact
A pair of white, ghostly eyes in the dark staring at you.
Do:
Take a quick peek at the Bracken for about 1-2 seconds, then break all eye contact. The Bracken will back off. Stick to your teammates, and in case you don’t have anyone nearby, get to them as fast as possible or get out of the complex.
If possible, alert all members of the group about the danger. Reorganize and select a person to always watch your back.
The Bracken is now most likely in the vents. Unless full of loot, continue your run and move forward.
Don’t:
Do not panic, don’t run if there is no other danger and you are at a moderate distance from the Bracken.
Do not, under any circumstance, stare at the Bracken for longer than 3-4 seconds.Do not approach him.
II - Constant danger
Filled with dread, you decide to pursue the expedition.
Do:
The Bracken uses vents to change his location. You should constantly be aware of his last seen position, and behave as if he is near you, because he most likely is.
Stick together as a group and move slowly. If you spot loot far away, it is recommended to have another player go with you.
Now you need to spot the Bracken’s attempts to sneak up on you, remember… he can be anywhere. As for the first time, take a quick peek and move on.
Be very careful if you encounter other creatures: they may be less dangerous than the Bracken, but they will distract you and your group, which turns out fatal most of the time.
Don’t:
Do not isolate yourself, even for a brief moment or a quick walk for loot.
Grabbing the Apparatus is highly unadvised, since the additional enemies are the last thing you want.
III - Exiting the complex
You grabbed enough scrap to meet the quota. The team decides to get out.
Do:
Take the most loot you can, and if needed, drop your utility item (if the item is cheaper than the loot and is not essential for your survival - example: Shovel/Ext. Ladder). You don’t want to return for that one big bolt.
Exit all at the same time with small delays. Bring all your loot back to the ship.
Don’t:
Do not blindly rush to the exit all at once in case you see one.
Returning inside the complex is not recommended.
