Team Ukraine roster for WESG 2017

The official Team Ukraine roster for the 2017/2018 season of World Electronic Sports Games has been announced.

The Ukrainian Dota 2 caster Vitalii Nikolaevich "v1lat" Volochai shared the lineup a few hours ago.

Team Ukraine roster:

  1. Roman "Resolut1on" Fominok

  2. Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko

  3. Andrey "Ghostik" Kadyk

  4. Ilya "Lil" Ilyuk

  5. Ivan "Artstyle" Antonov

Resolut1on and Artstyle took part also in the 2016 edition. No[o]ne will replace Dendi, Ghostik is in for GeneRaL, and Lil for ALWAYSWANNAFLY.

The 2016 roster qualified for the LAN event, and reached the top 4, winning a prize of $5,994. They dominated the group stage with a 4-0 score, and had a great run also in the playoffs, losing to Alliance 2 to 1 in the semifinals.

WESG 2017 is planned for March 2018 and will feature a $1,500,000 prize pool. The victor will earn $800,000, while the remaining prize will be split among all other 32 contestants participating in the LAN event.

The Chinese qualifiers already ended on September 10th -  EHOME is the first team confirmed for the tournament - the European ones will take place in November, while Americas must wait until February 2018.
