Teamfight Tactics (TFT): best Item Build on each champion

Teamfight Tactics (TFT): best Item Build on each champion

This item guide shows the best and the recommended items to build on each Teamfight Tactics (TFT) champion.

I have been asked several times to provide a list of the best items on each champion. I knew that it would have required lots of time, so I dedicated several days to write this compendium. Hopefully, it will help you to rank up! :)

All the champions are sorted in alphabetical order, and I have indicated both core and recommended items with images and text explanations.

  • Core items are those you must acquire and prioritize on a specific unit.

  • Recommended items are potential options you can use to complete an item build. There is not a best choice, but the preference mostly depends on your drop luck and game plan.

I will update this article also with future champions as soon as we have a precise idea on the best way to build them.

Best items by champion

Aatrox

  • Core items: Hextech Gunblade, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer.

Aatrox has a simple item build that focuses on his survivability. Hextech Gunblade is mandatory, but you can replace the remaining items with other defensive ones depending on what you can find.

Ahri

  • Core items: Luden’s Echo, Statikk Shiv.

  • Recommended items: Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Seraph’s Embrace.

Ahri is a formidable pick in the early and mid game if you can build Luden’s Echo and Statikk Shiv on her.

She does fall off later on, but if you want to keep her as a DPS, I suggest items such as Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Rabadon’s Deathcap, or Seraph’s Embrace for the third slot.

Akali

  • Core items: Seraph’s Embrace.

  • Recommended items: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Hextech Gunblade, Phantom Dancer, Dragon’s Claw, Locket of the Iron Solari.

Akali is the strongest carry among the Assassins, and she possesses both a fearful special ability and a solid auto-attack damage.

Seraph’s Embrace is a must-have because Five Point Strike requires 25 mana, so you will get back pretty much all mana after each cast.

Afterwards, you can further boost the damage of her ability with Rabadon’s Deathcap, or focus on defense with items such as Phantom Dancer, Dragon’s Claw, and Locket of the Iron Solari.

Hextech Gunblade is also a potential choice as it heals Akali for a percentage of the damage inflicted.

Anivia

  • Core items: Seraph’s Embrace, Morellonomicon.

  • Recommended items: Seraph’s Embrace, Rabadon’s Deathcap.

Seraph’s Embrace is required to cast Anivia’s special ability as early as possible, and honestly the optimal item build requires a second one.

Morellonomicon has the biggest impact on her damage because Glacial Storm is an AoE spell with a 8-second duration, but Rabadon’s Deathcap is also an optimal choice thanks to the high base damage of her ability.

Ashe

  • Core items: Statikk Shiv, Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

  • Recommended items: Spear of Shojin.

Rangers such as Ashe are mostly hard-DPS characters, so you want to boost their range, attack speed, and damage. Statikk Shiv is particularly strong on them thanks to their synergy, and it is an exceptional item to gain an advantage in the early/mid game.

Ashe is also a champion with a great utility via Enchanted Crystal Arrow, so you can also build Spear of Shojin to focus on this aspect.

Aurelion Sol

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Spear of Shojin.

  • Recommended items: Spear of Shojin, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Morellonomicon, Rabadon’s Deathcap.

Aurelion Sol requires Rapid Firecannon to attack from a long range, and Spear of Shojin to increase his mana gain.

Afterwards, you can either build a second Spear of Shojin, or boost spell damage with Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Morellonomicon, and Rabadon’s Deathcap.

If you are lucky with the items, he can really obliterate the enemy team.

Blitzcrank

  • Core items: Spear of Shojin, Rabadon’s Deathcap.

  • Recommended items: Hextech Gunblade, Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

Blitzcrank has a lot of ability power, and with the right items he can literally oneshot most enemies using Rocket Grab.

Spear of Shojin and Rabadon’s Deathcap are core items on him because they increase the number of times he will activate his special ability and boost its damage.

Brand

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Spear of Shojin.

  • Recommended items: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Morellonomicon.

Brand can inflict a massive amount of damage, but he must survive and cast Pyroclasm as much as possible.

Rapid Firecannon helps his survivability with the extra attack range, and Spear of Shojin is extremely useful on a champion with a high mana cost spell.

Complete the item build with another item to maximize his damage: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, and Morellonomicon are the best options.

Braum

  • Core items: Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail, Dragon’s Claw.

Braun is literally the best tank in the game, and we will use items to maximize his survivability with extra health points, health regeneration, armor, and magic resistance: Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail, and Dragon’s Claw.

Some players also love building two Thornmail because they stack, so you will inflict an impressive amount of damage against the attackers. It might be the best choice if they lack magic damage.

Camille

  • Recommended items: Guardian Angel, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, Warmog’s Armor.

Camille doesn’t have strict item requirements; I just suggest building her as tanky as possible.

Cho'Gath

  • Core items: Guardian Angel, Morellonomicon.

  • Recommended items: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Frozen Heart.

Cho'Gath must survive long enough to activate his ultimate. This is not a very difficult feat because he is one of the champions with the biggest health pool in TFT.

Morellonomicon works great with Rupture because this spell has a large area of effect.

For the third item slot, you can either boost the damage of his ability with Rabadon’s Deathcap, or boost his survivability and debuff the opponents with Frozen Heart.

Darius

  • Recommended items: Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, Frozen Heart.

Darius just requires tanky items such as Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, and Frozen Heart.

Draven

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Bloodthirster.

  • Recommended items: Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Rapid Firecannon, Infinity Edge, Guardian Angel.

Draven is an exceptional damage dealer. Rapid Firecannon and Bloodthirster are mandatory in every game as he requires the attack range and the lifesteal effect.

For the final item, Guardian Angel is the best defensive option on him. Otherwise, you can just boost even more his damage with Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Infinity Edge, or a second Rapid Firecannon.

Elise

  • Recommended items: Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Warmog’s Armor, Phantom Dancer, Dragon’s Claw.

You can either boost Elise’s damage with Rapid Firecannon and Guinsoo’s Rageblade, or increase her survivability so she will be able to transform and gain lifesteal.

Evelynn

  • Core items: Seraph’s Embrace, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Morellonomicon.

You don’t want too much mana on Evelynn because Last Caress inflicts increased damage against low health enemies, so the other champions in your lineup must have enough time to damage them.

A single Seraph’s Embrace is useful, but afterwards I suggest focusing on damage items, such as Rabadon’s Deathcap and Morellonomicon.

Fiora

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Bloodthirster.

  • Recommended items: Statikk Shiv.

I think that Fiora’s item build should focus on attack speed. Risposte provides survivability, she will hit a lot, and heal herself with Bloodthirster.

Statikk Shiv is a potential replacement for Guinsoo’s Rageblade for a stronger early game.

Gangplank

  • Core items: Spear of Shojin, Morellonomicon.

  • Recommended items: Warmog’s Armor, Guardian Angel, Phantom Dancer, Dragon’s Claw.

Spear of Shojin and Morellonomicon are necessary to exploit and maximize the damage of Gangplank’s Powder Kegs. Some players prefer Rabadon’s Deathcap, but I consider Morellonomicon a superior choice with this skill as potentially it can have a huge area of effect.

The last item slot must be dedicated to survivability: Warmog’s Armor and Guardian Angel are your best options.

Garen

  • Core items: Morellonomicon.

  • Recommended items: Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, Frozen Heart.

Garen’s Judgement empowered by Morellonomicon can dominate the early and mid game.

Beside that, I suggest building him as defensive as possible with items like Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, and Frozen Heart.

Gnar

  • Core items: Warmog’s Armor.

  • Recommended items: Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, Titanic Hydra.

Gnar possesses a a wonderful transformation and has lots of health points, so you want to focus on his tankiness with items like Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, and Phantom Dancer. Titanic Hydra is a solid option if you want to boost his damage.

Graves

  • Core items: Red Buff.

  • Recommended items: Titanic Hydra, Hush, Cursed Blade, Phantom Dancer.

Thanks to the passive Buckshot, Grave’s attacks hit all enemies in front of him, so he can exploit on-hit effect items such as Red Buff, Hush, and Cursed Blade.

Titanic Hydra is also an optimal DPS and survivability pick if you can upgrade him to three stars. If you opt for it, you might get also Phantom Dancer to help him against auto-attackers.

Jayce

  • Core items: Bloodthirster.

  • Recommended items: Warmog’s Armor, Titanic Hydra, Phantom Dancer, Dragon’s Claw.

Jayce is a Shapeshifter, so he will increase his health points once transformed, but meanwhile he doesn’t have many HP at level 1. I recommend building survivability items on him first, so he will be able to activate Transform Mercury Cannon, which increases his attack range and grants a burst of attack speed.

I believe Bloodthirster is an optimal choice on him and we could even consider it a core item: it contributes to his survivability with lifesteal because Jayce has a solid attack speed.

Warmog’s Armor is a solid option, and afterwards you can combo it with Titanic Hydra for increased damage.

Phantom Dancer and Dragon’s Claw are among the best defensive choices when facing auto-attackers or casters.

Jinx

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Runaan’s Hurricane.

  • Recommended items: Red Buff, Hush, Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, Guardian Angel, Phantom Dancer.

Rapid Firecannon is mandatory because you want to keep Jinx at the safest maximum distance for the duration of the battle.

Her passive ability Get Excited! increases her attack speed, and provides bonus magic and splash damage. Runaan’s Hurricane is a perfect fit on such a strong auto-attacker as she will be able to hit an extra target.

Runaan’s Hurricane also applies on-hit effect items, so I recommend completing the build with Red Buff or Hush (don’t forget that Jinx is also a Gunslinger). Alternatively, Infinity Edge is the best choice for pure damage, and Bloodthirster is a potential option if she needs lifesteal to survive.

Guardian Angel and Phantom Dancer are the most common defensive options.

Kai'Sa

  • Core items: Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Statikk Shiv, Giant Slayer.

  • Recommended items: Infinity Edge.

On Kai'Sa, you want items that can synergize with her innate attack speed (stats + active ability Killer Instinct). One of the best options is the trio composed of Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Statikk Shiv, and Giant Slayer.

Alternatively, you can also opt for the classic damage route with Infinity Edge.

Karthus

  • Core items: Seraph’s Embrace x2.

  • Recommended items: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Morellonomicon.

Requiem requires 85 mana, so you want two Seraph’s Embrace to cast this spell as much as possible during the combat round.

Rabadon’s Deathcap or Morellonomicon are the best choices to maximize his damage, but Karthus is able to win the game even without them - he just needs the extra mana.

Kassadin

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

  • Recommended items: Phantom Dancer, Dragon’s Claw.

I love the mechanic behind Kassadin: Nether Blade steals mana from the targets and converts it into a personal shield.

With Rapid Firecannon and Guinsoo’s Rageblade he will inflict lots of damage, prevent the opponents from casting their special ability, and increase his survivability via the shield.

For the third item slot, you want either Phantom Dancer or Dragon’s Claw to make him tankier.

Katarina

  • Core items: Seraph’s Embrace x2.

  • Recommended items: Morellonomicon, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Hextech Gunblade.

Katarina depends on her ultimate Death Lotus to inflict damage. You require items to boost her mana or she will be pretty much irrelevant.

Seraph’s Embrace is an optimal choice as two of them provide lots of starting mana.

As the third item, you will mostly get Morellonomicon or Rabadon’s Deathcap to further boost her AoE damage. Hextech Gunblade is a more conservative option if you require survivability.

Kayle

  • Core items: Spear of Shojin, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Rapid Firecannon.

Kayle is one of the champions with the highest attack speed in TFT (1.1), and he is the only Knight you want to build with DPS items.

Divine Judgement is a high mana cost skills that provide tons of utility, so you want to build Spear of Shojin as soon as possible to spam it.

Rapid Firecannon and Guinsoo’s Rageblade are required to increase her range and total damage.

Kennen

  • Core items: Morellonomicon, Guardian Angel.

  • Recommended items: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer.

Kennen’s Slicing Maelstrom is one of the best ultimates in Teamfight Tactics if combined with Morellonomicon.

Afterwards, he can focus on survivability with items like Guardian Angel, Dragon’s Claw, and Phantom Dancer, or maximize the damage of his special ability building Rabadon’s Deathcap.

Kha'Zix

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Infinity Edge.

  • Recommended items: Seraph’s Embrace, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Luden’s Echo, Phantom Dancer.

Kha'Zix has only 50 mana, so you can spam Taste their Fear using Seraph’s Embrace.

Rabadon’s Deathcap is a potential option because it increase the damage of his ability, while Lunden’s Echo helps to earn an advantage in the early game.

Phantom Dancer is a standard defensive items that works great in most matchups.

Kindred

  • Core items: Spear of Shojin, Guardian Angel, Phantom Dancer.

  • Recommended items: Statikk Shiv.

You can use Statikk Shiv on Kindred, but I believe it is preferable to build her as a tank, and to get also Spear of Shojin to boost her mana gain. You want Kindred to survive for as long as possible so she will keep preventing deaths via Lamb’s Respite.

Leona

  • Recommended items: Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail, Dragon’s Claw, Locket of the Iron Solari, Frozen Heart.

There aren’t core items on Leona, but I recommend building defensive ones like Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail, Dragon’s Claw, and supportive ones such as Locket of the Iron Solari and Frozen Heart.

Lissandra

  • Recommended items: Zeke’s Herald, Locket of the Iron Solari.

If you wish to build items on Lissandra, I suggest opting for supportive items like Zeke’s Herald and Locket of the Iron Solari in order to help her teammates.

Lucian

  • Core items: Red Buff, Cursed Blade.

  • Recommended items: Hush, Sword Breaker, Luden’s Echo, Statikk Shiv.

On Gunslinger champions such as Lucian, on-hit effect items are always the best choice: Red Buff, Cursed Blade, Hush, and Sword Breaker.

Luden’s Echo and Statikk Shiv are exceptional choices in the early game, especially the former because of Lucian’s 35 mana cost ability Relentless Pursuit.

Lulu

  • Core items: Spear of Shojin x2, Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

Wild Growth is a very underestimated ability that can change the fate of a fight. It is a very high cost spell, so Lulu requires two Spear of Shojin and the attack speed granted by Guinsoo’s Rageblade to spam it.

Miss Fortune

  • Core items: Seraph’s Embrace x2, Morellonomicon.

  • Recommended items: Rabadon’s Deathcap.

Similarly to Katarina, Miss Fortune must unleash her ultimate to annihilate the opponents, and you need two Seraph’s Embrace to achieve it quickly.

Bullet Time inflicts an absurd amount of damage, and you can boost it even more with Morellonomicon. Rabadon’s Deathcap is also a potential option.

Mordekaiser

  • Recommended items: Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, Frozen Heart.

Mordekaiser doesn’t have core items. I suggest building him with defensive items, and adding Thornmail for some extra damage.

Morgana

  • Core items: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Morellonomicon.

  • Recommended items: Guardian Angel, Locket of the Iron Solari.

Rabadon’s Deathcap and Morellonomicon are the best choices to maximize the damage inflicted by Morgana’s Soul Shackles.

Afterwards, I recommend building a defensive item like Guardian Angel and Locket of the Iron Solari.

Nidalee

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

  • Recommended items: Titanic Hydra, Phantom Dancer, Dragon’s Claw, Bloodthirster.

You can build Nidalee both as a DPS or a tank. Honestly, I prefer the former with Rapid Firecannon and Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

Later on, you should focus on her survivability with defensive items (Phantom Dancer or Dragon’s Claw) or lifesteal effects (Bloodthirster).

Titanic Hydra is also a great option because she will earn a bonus maximum health once transformed thanks to the Shapeshifter synergy.

Pantheon

  • Core items: Warmog’s Armor, Spear of Shojin

  • Recommended items:  Spear of Shojin, Morellonomicon, Frozen Heart

Pantheon is a tough champion with many health points, and he will often benefit from both the magic resistance and the extra armor provided by his Dragon and Guardian synergies.

Warmog’s Armor is the best choice to boost his survivability thanks to the bonus health points and the HP regeneration.

Grand Starfall is a solid skill, but it requires lots of mana so you need one or two Spear of Shojin if you want to spam it as much as possible.

Morellonomicon is the best DPS item as Grand Starfall affects all units in Pantheon’s path, whole Frozen Heart is a more conservative defensive choice.

Poppy

  • Recommended items: Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, Frozen Heart.

Poppy has a decent damage, but overall you will build her with defensive items like the other Knights.

Pyke

  • Core items: Spear of Shojin x2.

  • Recommended items: Rapid Firecannon, Morellonomicon.

Spear of Shojin is the best choice on champions with high mana cost if you want to spam their skills. Pyke’s Phantom Undertow can potentially affect several units simultaneously, so Morellonomicon will proc on all of them.

Rek'Sai

  • Core items: Spear of Shojin, Warmog’s Armor.

  • Recommended items: Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Frozen Heart.

Rek'Sai is a Brawler champion with lots of HP, so we will use Warmog’s Armor to boost even more her tankiness.

Spear of Shojin is required to use her high mana cost ultimate as much as possible. For the last item, you can exploit her survivability to maximize the effect of Guinsoo’s Rageblade or to debuff all the opponents with Frozen Heart.

Rengar

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon.

  • Recommended items: Guardian Angel, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge.

Thanks to Savagery, Rengar earns both attack speed and critical strike chance. He requires the extra attack range from Rapid Firecannon because he is a rather squishy champion.

Infinity Edge and Bloodthirster are the best offensive choices. Guardian Angel, Dragon’s Claw, and Phantom Dancer are the most used defensive items on him.

Sejuani

  • Recommended items: Morellonomicon, Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer, Frozen Heart.

Similarly to the other Knights, I suggest building Sejuani as tanky as possible. Morellonomicon is the only damage item she can use because it works with Glacial Prison.

Shen

  • Recommended items: Phantom Dancer, Dragon’s Claw, Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail, Locket of the Iron Solari.

Shen doesn’t really have core items. Generally, you just want to use tank items on him.

Shyvana

  • Core items: Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail.

  • Recommended items: Phantom Dancer, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Rapid Firecannon.

Dragon’s Descent is a powerful transformation as it turns the already tough Shyvana in a substantial damage dealer.

Warmog’s Armor and Thornmail are mandatory because you want to boost her survivability and exploit the extra health points provided by the Shapeshifter bonus.

Afterwards, you can either get Phantom Dancer to maximize her defense, or build a DPS item such as Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Rapid Firecannon.

Swain

  • Core items: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Morellonomicon, Hextech Gunblade.

  • Recommended items: Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, Phantom Dancer.

It is almost impossible to kill Swain while he is ulting: he deals lots of AoE damage and heals himself simultaneously.

I suggest maximizing the damage inflicted by his ability with Rabadon’s Deathcap and Morellonomicon. Hextech Gunblade is also a great choice as third item if you require more lifesteal to survive.

Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, and Phantom Dancer are items you should build only if he isn’t able to survive long enough to cast Demonflare.

Tristana

  • Core items: Red Buff, Cursed Blade.

  • Recommended items: Hush, Sword Breaker.

On Gunslinger champions such as Tristana, on-hit effect items are always the best choice: Red Buff, Cursed Blade, Hush, and Sword Breaker.

Twisted Fate

  • Core items: Statikk Shiv x2.

  • Recommended items: Luden’s Echo, Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

Two Statikk Shiv is particularly strong on Twisted Fate because - beside the ability of the items - from their stats he gains almost as much mana he requires to cast Pick a Card.

Guinsoo’s Rageblade is a classic DPS option, while Luden’s Echo can be particularly strong if the card you picked restores your mana.

Varus

  • Core items: Statikk Shiv, Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

  • Recommended items: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Seraph’s Embrace.

Rangers such as Varus are mostly hard-DPS characters, so you want to boost their range, attack speed, and damage. Statikk Shiv is particularly strong on them thanks to their synergy, and it is an exceptional item to gain an advantage in the early/mid game.

Beside the classic DPS build, you can also focus on his Piercing Arrow with items like Rabadon’s Deathcap and Seraph’s Embrace.

Vayne

  • Core items: Statikk Shiv, Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade.

Rangers such as Vayne are mostly hard-DPS characters, so you want to boost their range, attack speed, and damage. Statikk Shiv is particularly strong on them thanks to their synergy, and it is an exceptional item to gain an advantage in the early/mid game.

Veigar

  • Core items: Seraph’s Embrace.

  • Recommended items: Seraph’s Embrace, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Rapid Firecannon, Cursed Blade, Spear of Shojin.

Primodial Burst inflicts a huge amount of damage and instantly kills if the enemy is a lower star level than Veigar.

With two Seraph’s Embrace he can spam his ultimate and potentially destroy the enemy team.

There are several options for the third item slot:

  • Guinsoo’s Rageblade or Rapid Firecannon are the DPS choices, and honestly I prefer the latter because the extra attack range helps your survivability.

  • Cursed Blade is loved by many players because of the combo with Primordial Burst, but don’t forget that it does not guarantee you to decrease the star level of the target.

  • Spear of Shojin is also an option if you want to maximize your mana gain.

Vi

  • Core items: Morellonomicon, Frozen Heart.

  • Recommended items: Guardian Angel, Warmog’s Armor, Spear of Shojin.

Vi’s Assault and Battery affects several units on the battlefield as she charges against the farthest enemy, knocking and damaging anyone in her path. Morellonomicon is a strong item on her because it will affect several units simultaneously.

She requires some defensive items, and the best choices are Guardian Angel and Warmog’s Armor; the latter to exploit the Brawler’s bonus health.

Spear of Shojin is also a viable pick due to the potential of her ultimate and its high mana cost.

Volibear

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon.

  • Recommended items: Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Red Buff, Cursed Blade, Bloodthirster, Phantom Dancer.

“Raid Boss” Volibear is actually one of my preferred champions in TFT because it is very satisfying observing his DPS meter :P.

Rapid Firecannon is the only essential item on him because he requires some attack range to be effective.

Afterwards, you can get a second Rapid Firecannon and Guinsoo’s Rageblade to maximize his damage. Red Buff and Cursed Blade are also solid options because his passive Thunder Claws applies on-hit effects.

Bloodthirster or Phantom Dancer are more conservative choices for the third item slot if he requires extra survivability.

Warwick

  • Core items: Warmog’s Armor, Thornmail, Frozen Heart.

I recommend using only defensive items on Warwick. He is a frontliner with lots of health points thanks to the Brawler trait.

Warmog’s Armor is mandatory to boost his toughness. For the remaining item slots I suggest Thornmail (lots of armor and it damages the attackers) and Frozen Heart.

Yasuo

  • Core items: Seraph’s Embrace.

  • Recommended items: Hush, Red Buff, Sword Breaker, Warmog’s Armor.

Yasuo’s Steel Tempest requires 25 mana, and you really want to spam it as much as possible, so Seraph’s Embrace is a core item in every match.

His special ability also applies on-hit effects, so you can use items such as Hush, Red Buff, and Sword Breaker.

Warmog’s Armor will drastically increase his tankiness because the Exile’s synergy provides a shield equal to 100% of Yasuo’s maximum health.

Zed

  • Core items: Rapid Firecannon, Infinity Edge.

  • Recommended items: Rapid Firecannon, Bloodthirster, Zeke’s Herald.

Zed is a classic physical damage dealer. Rapid Firecannon is mandatory to increase his attack range, and often you want two of them to improve both his damage and survivability.

Zeke’s Herald is an optimal choice in the mid game, while Bloodthirster is one of my preferred choice in the late game, particularly if you upgraded him to three stars.
