Dragon Ball FighterZ Rank Distribution and percentage of players - 2021

The rank distribution and percentage of players by division in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Find out your place in the current season and the real value of your rank. Only PC data.

Source of the data

BANDAI NAMCO doesn’t provide an API to acquire info such as the rank distribution of the player base, so all the data displayed in this article has been gathered manually.

  • The data is based on the ranked leaderboard available in-game. The percentages are rounded.

  • All the data comes from the PC leaderboard, so the tables do not contain info on the player distribution on consoles, but probably it is quite similar.

  • These statistics are quite accurate, however, they are not perfect: the players who stop playing ranked games are automatically dropped from the leaderboard for inactivity after some time, so they can’t be measured.

  • The data won’t be updated monthly, but only once or twice per year, so you might find fresher data in a few months.

  • Credit to lectricb0i and Yuurei who gathered the data of March and May, respectively.

A summary of the data

  • Super Saiyan and below are ranks for casual players, and here we find about 25% of the player base.

  • The average rank is Supreme Kai / Demon. In my opinion, starting from this division you face better and more experienced players, but it is still possible to find many random ones.

  • There is a massive skill difference if we compare Supreme Kai players with the ones ranked a few divisions higher. Super Saiyan Blue hits the top 22%, and honestly you need to master all the game fundamentals to achieve this placement.

  • Only a tiny portion of the player base (1.7%) reached Ultra Instinct and above as you need to maintain a high win rate: any loss will hurt badly your Battle Points.

Higher ranks

No PC players are ranked above God of Destruction, thus the following divisions are not included in the table and graph: Ultra Instinct, Angel, Grand Priest, and Zen-Oh.

The reason is rather simple: you just can’t earn enough BP (Battle Points) to rank up higher (unless you exploit the system). After reaching God of Destruction you will earn about 500-600 points in each game, but you can lose even 8.000 with a single defeat. Good Luck!
