The BTS Major is cancelled

LD announced on Twitter that the Beyond The Summit Major, formerly planned for March 2018, will no longer happen.

The first public info about the Dota Pro Circuit attributed a Major to BTS on March 8-11. Today, David "LD" Gorman revealed on Social Media that BTS was indeed considering the idea to host a Major, in partnership with NGE, but unfortunately they had to change their plans.

BTS was exploring the possibility of running a major together with NGE in March 2018 as part of the DOTA Pro Circuit. Unfortunately, the event ended up not making sense for us and NGE, so it won’t be happening.

We’re excited for the upcoming crop of Pro Circuit events, and we look forward to making the DOTA Summit 8 a fantastic and entertaining event for teams and fans alike. See you guys at our Winter WonderLAN this December!

Those in the US looking for a great event hosted by BTS shouldn’t despair. Dota Summit 8 is confirmed for December 13-17, and 36 teams will battle in the regional qualifiers from today to November 16.
