SGE win first match at SL i-League Invitational 3

The first match at SL i-League Invitational S3 Minor saw SG esports against ViCi Gaming. The Brazilian team claimed the Bo3 with a 2-0 victory.

SL i-League Invitational S3 started today, October 12. Eight teams will face each other in the best-of-three GSL group stage, and only the top two from each group will advance to the playoffs.

The winners of the South America and Chinese qualifiers, SG esports and ViCI Gaming, fought the first matchup of the day. The Brazilians proved their worth with a blasting 2-0 victory - in both matches VG never earned a real advantage on the opponents.

SGE will fight again at 18:00 CEST, in about 3 hours, against the winner of of the next Bo3: Team Liquid or Mineski. Instead, VG must battle for survival with the loser at 09:00 CEST, on October 14.

The first battle ended in 43 minutes with a 28-14 score in favor of SGE. Only a handful of fight took place in the first 10 minutes, during which Ren "eLeVeN" Yangwei on Monkey King was caught off-guard and killed five times - he ended the match with a 0-12-4 score.

The net worth difference never went past 3k in the first 30 minutes of the game. A team-wipe at 33 minutes gave SG esports the opportunity to push, and two minutes later they destroyed the enemy middle barracks.

The match escalated quickly, and they continued their work uncontested. A final successful fight at 42 minutes forced VG to call GG.

A great game for Guilherme Silva "FuckinEh" Costábile, who was using Arc Warden in the safe lane. He finished the match with a 15-1-10 score, and inflicted over 36k damage to his opponents.

Match two was even faster, ending at 39 minutes with a 14k net worth lead for SGE. Zhang "LaNm" Zhicheng didn’t succeed with his Nyx Assassin, and died multiple times during the entire match.

Adriano de Paula "4dr" Machado on Lina, and FuckinEh on Phantom Lancer solidified the performance showed in game one with another great match.

In particular, 4dr won the middle lane despite Oracle continued helping Death Prophet. He acquired a quick Bloodstone at 18 minutes, invaded the other lanes with his ganks, and finally hit a GPM near 600.

In the past 30 minutes we can count only 5 deaths for the Radiant team, while VG had to call another GG after losing fights and barracks in the last 10 minutes of the battle.
