Schedule
The participants will be split in two groups of four teams each: they will fight each other in best-of-one matches - winners, elimination, and decider matches will feature a best-of-three format.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the playoffs, from October 28th to 29th, and clash in a best-of-three single elimination bracket.
The Grand Final won’t present a best-of-five battle. ESL explained that the event was planned, scheduled, and budgeted before Valve’s announcement of the Dota Pro Circuit.
Due to agreements with the venue, sponsors, and broadcasters it wasn’t possible to modify the format of the tournament.
Things will be different in their next Major in this season, planned for the end of February.
