Space Soldiers won't play SL Invitational Shanghai
Space Soldiers announced that they won’t participate at SL i-league Invitational II Shanghai due to a schedule conflict. Their goal is the EU Minor.
On October 12th, Space Soldiers qualified for the StarLadder event with a perfect 6-0 run in the EU qualifier. In the finals they had the upper hand against HAVU Gaming 2 to 0.
Yesterday, Space Soldiers earned the 1st-2nd place at the European closed qualifier for the next Minor: they defeated ex-Outlaws with a magnificent 16:5 score on Mirage. Unfortunately, both the EU Minor and SL i-league Invitational II will take place in the same days, from November 2nd to 5th.
StarLadder hasn’t announced yet which team will replace Space Soldiers in their $150,000 tournament.
A total of 8 squads will battle in Shanghai, China: Gambit Esports and Tyloo received a direct invite, and three more must still be revealed. The remaining three teams earned the right to participate through the regional qualifiers.
