FaZe Clan continue dominating the CS:GO scene winning ELEAGUE Premier 2017, and bringing home a $500,000 prize. Astralis lost 0-2 in the Finals.

Sixteen teams clashed in the GSL Group Stage of ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017. They faced each other in best-of-one and best-of-three matchups split in four different groups.

FaZe emerged victorious from the Group A with a perfect 2-0 score. They defeated Renegades on Mirage, and Natus Vincere on Inferno.

The top two teams from each group advanced to the best-of-three single-elimination Playoffs. Once again FaZe had the upper hand against all opponents without losing a single map. They overpowered Team EnVyUs and North, and finally fought against Astralis in the Finals.

FaZe proved to be one of the best teams in the world, obtaining the trophy with a 2-0 victory.

The first match took place on the map selected by FaZe: Cache. They started as Terrorists, claimed the pistol round and the successive one, but then lost the control of the game. Astralis ended the first half with a solid 12-3.

FaZe didn’t give up and proved to have an even better CT-side, ending the match 16 to 14. All the members of the team had a rating above 1.0, and at least 20 kills each, which proves the skills of the entire lineup.

Overpass, the map selected by Astralis, was beneficial to their opponents. The Danish team started as Terrorists, but could only secure a total of three rounds during the first half. They were able to plant the bomb different times, but FaZe promptly crushed their defense and defused four bombs.

Once the sides swapped, Astralis had a good start, but FaZe started playing their game again from round 4. The Bo3 finished with a 16:7 victory.

The MVP of the map, and of the entire series, was rain. On Overpass, he got a rating of 1.63, and inflicted an impressive 122.6 average damage per round.
