ECS Season 4 to kick-off on Friday

Esports Championship Series Season 4 will start this Friday, October 6th. Four teams from each region will battle during the first day.

Esports Championship Series will feature 10 teams from North America and 10 from Europe - they will compete in two separate leagues over eight weeks. All teams must fight each other in two best-of-one series, and only the top four from each region will advance to Season 4 Finals.

The event, sponsored by FACEIT, YouTube, and Alienware has a grand prize pool of $660,000. All matches will be streamed live on the official FACEIT YouTube Gaming channel.

The league will start with the European matchup between FaZe Clan and Heroic at 19:00 CEST.

ECS S4 European teams:

  • Fnatic

  • G2 Esports

  • GODSENT

  • Ninjas in Pyjamas

  • Virtus.pro

  • Heroic

Virtus.pro and Heroic had to battle their way through the ECS EU Promotion, where they defeated Team Dignitas and Space Soldiers. The remaining teams obtained a direct invite thanks to their performance in the third season.

Luminosity Gaming and Ghost Gaming had the upper hand against Tempo Storm and Misfits in the NA qualifier.
