Brawlhalla Best Weapons: Damage Chart by attack type in 2024

The list and chart show the damage inflicted by each weapon in Brawlhalla based on the attack performed: Light, Air, Ground, and Recovery. Find out the best weapons in the game.

Note: the damage values are calculated based on a 5-strength character attacking a 5-defense one.

Strength increases the damage inflicted by the legend, while Defense reduces the damage received from all attacks. Generally, each point in strength/defense increases/reduces the damage by a small percentage, while the exact raw value depends on the weapon and the kind of attack considered.

  • Signature attacks (Heavy attacks) are not listed because they are unique attacks that are different from character to character (each legend has six unique Signatures).

  • The weapons are sorted in alphabetical order, and unarmed damage is included as well for a proper comparison.

  • The damage is calculated based on the latest information at our disposal and in-game observations, and the final values are approximate and rounded. While not perfect, the damage values follow the same mathematical formulas, making them reliable at least for weapon comparisons.

Obviously, the damage inflicted is not the only statistic required to determine the best weapons in Brawlhalla, but I believe it is of great help to better understand our main weapon, or to find a more suitable one for our playstyle.

Terminology

  • N, D, S, stand for Neutral, Down, and Side. They are directional inputs for Light, Heavy, and Air, attacks.

  • Light: the attack performed by pressing the light attack button.

  • Air: the attack performed by pressing the light attack button while airborne.

  • Ground Pound: the attack performed by pressing the heavy attack button while holding down in the air.

  • Recovery: the attack performed by pressing the heavy attack button while airborne and not holding down. It is called Recovery because this move helps to “recover” (get back on the stage) as it usually pushes your legend up or diagonally.

Gauntlets have only a slightly higher damage if compared to fighting unarmed, but they offer a great string potential.

Strings are attacks dealt in quick succession, similar to combos. The main difference between strings and combos is that you are able to dodge the former, while the latter can’t be dodged - for this reason, combos are often mentioned as True Combos.
