Taxing Shot (Attack)

Aiming

Colette's main attack is a ranged projectile that's faster than most. To aim effectively, position yourself as shown in the picture below, then move up slightly before releasing your shot.

This technique should help you land most of your shots.

Damage calculation and strategy

Taxing Shot deals damage based on the target's current health:

  • It deals 37% of the target's current health as damage.

  • Two attacks will take out 60.31% of a brawler's health.

  • Three attacks will take out around 75% (74.9953%) of health.

  • When 37% of the target's health is lower than 1000, Colette will deal 1000 damage instead.

Strategy-wise, because Collete’s attack damage is based on the enemy’s health, target tanks to chunk their massive health pool, allowing teammates to finish them off.

Avoid chasing tanks with more than 2000 health, as Colette's reload speed and minimum damage can't handle their aggression.

Time to Collect (Super)

Much like Carl’s attack, Colette's super is best used against walls (if possible) to reduce its duration, as any decent player would know that moving in a straight line is dangerous. It can also be used to "steal gems".

The super deals 20% of the target's maximum health each hit, so many players use the "2 tap Super" combo:

  • Land two attacks.

  • Hit the enemy with the super.

  • Total damage: 60.31% + 20% + 20% = 100.31%.

However, avoid this combo against shielded enemies like Crow.

Super charge rate

It takes 4 shots to charge her super, and each hit from the super also counts as one shot. This means after a successful super, you only need 2 more shots to use your super again. This allows for significant momentum in the right situation, as you can effectively chain supers.

Gadgets

Na-ah!

  • Makes Colette's next attack deal 1500 more damage.

  • Best used at the end of a confrontation.

    • Use when the target has >2500 health.

  • Allows Colette to 3-shot brawlers under 6300 health.

This gadget is not recommended as brawlers under 6300 health often counter her (like Crow and Tick).

Gotcha!

Most valuable when Colette is on low health and the target has high health.

Use after supering to recover from damage, as Colette normally takes a lot of damage after the super because of its predictable nature.

It's also useful for rushing a safe in Heist with low health, allowing Colette to gain more health to survive after her super.

Star Powers

Push It

This star power guarantees the return dash will connect if the first dash hits (unless you super someone into water).

  • It's a powerful CC (Crowd Control) ability, great for Hot Zone and Brawl Ball.

    • In Hot Zone, use it to push enemies out of the zone.

    • In Brawl Ball, if there are enemies defending the goal, kick the ball into the goal and super the enemies into spawn.

This Star Power pairs well with her Hypercharge, guaranteeing quadruple damage and doubling as great CC.

Mass Tax

Upon using Colette's super, you gain a 20% shield for 5 seconds. Each enemy hit adds an additional 10%.

  • In a 3v3, hitting all 3 enemies twice grants an 80% shield.

  • It's only good on Heist if multiple enemies guard the safe (unlikely).

Generally, this Star Power is not recommended due to its complexity and low value for the effort required. However, it is a great choice in Heist, unless they have tanks.

Teen Spirit (Hypercharge)

Teen Spirit doubles Colette's super damage, making it potent in both 1v1 interactions and on Heist. One attack and one super while Hypercharged is enough to finish off any brawler in the game, granted they don't have any healing abilities or shield gear.

Key strategy: Hit at least one enemy together with the Heist safe to guarantee a recharged super.
