Don’t Starve characters’ ages
A list of the ages of all Don’t Starve characters. The data is based on lore, game dialogues, some official info, and lots of guesses.
Klei Entertainment released only limited info on the ages of all characters in Don’t Starve, so this list is mostly a guesswork based on the lore of each character.
Note that Don’t Starve takes place in “The Constant”, and there nobody ages.
Only Wendy, Willow, and Wilson have a canon age. I provided proof below.
If you notice that I am missing the age of a Don’t Starve character on which we have official info, please contact me and provide the source. I will add them to the list as soon as possible.
The characters’ ages/years entering The Constant can be found by their quotes on real world items that were invented between 1906-1920, such as hair dryers and licence plates.
The explanation quoted below belongs to user Mooagain, who posted it on the Klei Entertainment forums.
The license plate trinket from Shipwrecked is my favorite item in the game because some characters do not know what it is, and some do.
Licence plates were invented in 1918, right before the Voxola factory burned down. Wickerbottom, Woodie, Warbucks, Wolfgang, and Maxwell have never seen anything like it before, while Webber asks, “Where is the automobile?” - showing that he knows what it is.
Another trinket, the broken hair dryer from Hallowed Nights, helps this too. Willow knows what it is, but Webber doesn’t. Hair dryers were invented in 1920, the year after the Voxola fire.
This means that Webber entered the Constant in 1919, the same year as the Voxola fire. I have heard theories that Webber is the son of Robert Wagstaff, and given that they both mysteriously disappeared the same year, this is probably the truth.”
Ages - from youngest to oldest
8 to 10 - Wendy
Early 20s - Willow
Early 30s - Wilson
Unknown: Wolfgang, WX-78, Wickerbottom, Woodie, Wes, Maxwell, Wagstaff, Wigfrid, Webber, Walani, Warly, Wilbur, Woodlegs, Wilba, Wormwood, Wheeler, Winona, Wortox, Wurt, Walter.
Approximate ages - not confirmed by Klei Entertainment
1 to 70 - WX-78 (It depends if you consider his human birth or only his robot rebirth)
1 to 12 - Webber (it depends if you consider his human birth or only his spider rebirth)
Late 20s - Wes
Late 20s - Wigfrid
Mid 30s - Charlie
Late 30s - Woodie
Late 30s - Winona
Late 30s - Lucy
Early 40s - Maxwell
Late 40s - Wolfgang
55 to 65 - Wickerbottom (she is probably younger than she looks because life expectancy in the early 1900s was rather short)
Notes:
Wilson is in his early 30’s. We never really established where Wilson is living or from, but the “Gentleman Scientist” theme does kind of come from a “Proper English Gent” kind of personality. The story is 1920-ish. Willow is roughly in her early 20’s.”

On the official Klei Entertainment forums, JoeW revealed the age of Wendy.
Note, we have decided to officially state that Wendy is between 8 and 10 years old. Previously we wanted to leave it up to interpretation but we’ve decided we want it to be clear going forward.”
